Often when a site is under DDoS attack, one of the popular methods of repelling it (at the application layer) is to check that a real human with a real browser is behind each request using a bit of Javascript code to authenticate, more about the methods used by firewalls such as Sucuri’s CloudProxy Emergency DDoS protection or CloudFlare’s delayed access “I’m Under Attack” feature if your interested.
While this Javascript DDoS prevention method is great at limiting the impact of these so called “hacktivists”, it can be problematic for a minority of valid visitors that either don’t have Javascript well installed or have some locally cached bad behaviour (normally a redirection loop), going on.
Just refreshing the page can sometimes fix this, maybe the firewall has authenticated you with the Javascript and the site is just too busy to respond.
The first bit of troubleshooting you can do is check if you have Javascript correctly installed, this is a great tool to do that enable-javascript.com, also giving instructions on how to enable it if you have it disabled.
If that does not help, you should clear your browser’s local cache, here are instructions on how to clear the cache of all browsers. Carrying out both of these exercises, you might find this resolves issues you have with other sites.
Recently I have seen Microsoft’s latest IE 11 having lots of issues with Javascript, I understand why that might be, they are trying to make their browser safer, but broke something while doing that, Javascript on a site could be malicious, of course, as a DDoS prevention measure it is completely harmless.
When you have issues with one browser, you should just try another, this will prove if the issue is related to your site or the browser.
IE kept shutting down when I accessed the jihadwatch.org site.
I tried accessing the site using Google Chrome and did not have any problems getting onto the site with Google Chrome.
From now on I’ll use Google Chrome instead of IE to access websites like jihadwatch.org that have been hit with DDoS attacks.
IE is being discontinued by Microsoft, that news a couple of months ago, over the last 10 years at least it has been behind others, no end of issues, I don’t know if their replacement will be any better, but generally Chrome would be better for all sites except Microsoft’s own pages such as technet and hotmail.
I have been a faithful reader of your website. Lately I need to register my email address again. When I try, it says that there is one already registered in my name. 0bviously, that’s me. Please resolve as I want to keep abreast of the Muslim invasion and events around the world.

No issues, Bob.
I just wanted you to hear a well-done for all you do.
I’ve had difficulty opening links that David Horowitz has sent me but never articles of JihadWatch.org, today was the exception to the rule at first I was able to open 2 stories, but the 3rd, was unable to access. I see that the recommendation here is enable the latest update of Java script, if that doesn’t work you recommend clear all the caches of my browsers, doing that and keep up the good work Sir Robert.
Believe it o0r not, there are CANADIANS WHO WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT your work…but your donation site doesn’t NOT allow a Canadian address, even though I would donate US dollars!
